QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q: Is it normal that I don't feel anything when using it?

A: That's normal. This device uses low-energy lasers, which mainly act at the cellular level, rather than relying on heat or strong stimulation. Even if you don't feel anything, it can still achieve a therapeutic effect.

Q: How long does it take before I feel any effects?

A: It depends on the individual's situation:
Acute discomfort: Usually noticeable quickly. Chronic problems: Requires continuous use, as it has a cumulative effect, so the more you use it, the more noticeable the effects become.

Q: How long should each use last?

A: It is recommended to spend about 10 minutes on each area and avoid using the same area repeatedly for a long time.

Q: Is it necessary to accurately locate the acupoints?

A: Not necessarily. It can be applied directly to the sore or uncomfortable area, or it can be used in conjunction with acupoints to enhance the effect.

Q: Is stronger electrotherapy more effective?

A: No. The recommended approach is "comfortable and stimulating but not overly stimulating," as excessive stimulation may cause discomfort.

Q: Why do we need to increase the intensity after using it for a long time?

A: This is a phenomenon of neural adaptation, which is a normal reaction. The intensity can be adjusted appropriately.

Q: Is it necessary to use conductive pads?

A: Not necessarily, but using patches can make the current more even and improve comfort, making them especially suitable for people who are sensitive to current.

Q: How often should the patch be replaced?

A: Replacement is recommended when the following conditions occur:
If the viscosity decreases, hardens, or discolors, it cannot be restored after cleaning.

Q: Is it normal for cupping to leave a color?

A: This is a normal phenomenon, related to individual constitution and circulation, and it usually subsides naturally.

Q: What is low-energy laser?

A: Low Energy Laser (LLLT) is a non-invasive light therapy technique that uses specific wavelengths of light energy to help promote circulation, support tissue repair, and relieve discomfort.

Q: Why use 660nm / 808nm?

A: Different wavelengths correspond to different depths:
660nm: Acts on surface tissues
808nm: Can penetrate deeper to achieve simultaneous conditioning of both superficial and deep layers.

Q: What is electrical stimulation (TENS)?

A: By stimulating nerves with microcurrents, the transmission of pain signals is interfered with, thus achieving a soothing effect.

Q: What is the principle behind electrotherapy?

A: According to the "gate control theory", nerve stimulation reduces the transmission of pain signals to the brain.

Q: What is negative pressure cupping?

A: Using negative pressure to cause local tissue hyperemia helps relax muscles and promote circulation.

Q: Why can't lasers be used on the eyes?

A: Laser light can be magnified by focusing in the eyes, potentially damaging the retina, so direct viewing should be avoided. Additionally, it is not recommended to irradiate the heart area or the head.

Q: Why is there no heat sensation during low-energy laser treatment?

A: Because its main function is photobiological regulation rather than thermal effects, it usually does not produce a noticeable warm sensation.

Q: Who is it not recommended to use it?

A: The following groups are advised to avoid this or consult a professional first:
Patients with malignant tumors during pregnancy, patients with hemorrhagic diseases, photosensitivity, and those wearing pacemakers.

Q: Can lasers be used on wounds? Can artificial joints be treated with electrotherapy?

A: Laser treatment of wounds can be used to aid in repair, but it is recommended to control the time (about 10–30 minutes) and observe the condition.

Electrotherapy can be used on artificial joints, but current should be avoided from passing through the artificial joint (electrodes should be placed in the same area).
